We strive to WORK HARDER WITH LESS! And what we mean by that is to: keep things Simple, Direct, and train until it becomes a part of you. We don't teach hundreds of 'moves' with drills or patterns that are not practical for combat. Here you can develop the parts of your body required for self defence. Working from your current fitness, we will develop together as a group, helping each other. We hope that after just a few lessons you engage into our philosophy and enjoy each class so much - you can't wait for the next one!

My name is Darren, i am the Instructor at Kickfit peterborough.
My background started with Tae Kwon Do, and then discovered Jeet Kune Do and the Filipino martial arts.
I teach my own method of self defence using the tools we find that work in our combat sessions.
I am a registered and insured instructor with the British Martial Arts and Boxing Association. I have been involved in martial arts since 1992. My main passion is teaching. Helping people develop self preservation skills, and create a more positive attitude.
Most active people can learn self defence and the biggest misconception is that you need to be fit, or that your not ready. Any previous experience helps to develop our techniques faster- but it isnt critical, and starting with a clean slate can be very beneficial in your development.
Please note, this type of self defence is not suitable for young children or students not mature enough for the responcibility of our direct combat system. These techniques are lethal and deadly when used correctly so students are expected to abide by the safety standards i set when training in our club.
